We Call it LUD for short.

This is Lift Up Democracy, a brand-new site by Lift Up Democracy LLC, and we're bootstrapping a great campaign for a great cause: We connect progressive candidates and campaigns with excellent writers from Substack. Not only writers, but also investigators, journalists, and podcasters! From there, we syndicate to over 50 progressive and democratic socialist sites that put winning candidate stories in front of people - like you.

We're running a startup, and our goal is to reach $35K before the end of 2025. It's ambitious, but the data on startups shows it's doable when we're authentic, speak the truth, and are able to operate without fear of our Press freedoms being infringed. That's why LUD has a built-in fund for writer's defense against frivolous lawsuits brought by the current MAGA regime.

Read the articles, peruse the site. We need help, and we're looking to you for it. Any small amount, no matter whether it's $1 or a much larger $1,000 is a huge win for WINNING FEDERAL, STATE, and LOCAL elections.
